What lives near any city?

Birds, plants, insects and more, ranked by how often people have photographed and identified them within 10, 25 or 50 km. Every record is an iNaturalist research-grade observation.

Eight cities on six continents.

How to read a label

Each species gets a sheet. The number is how many research-grade observations people have shared near the city, not how many animals live there. A common bird near a busy park will outrank a rare one in the hills.
